Last night was quite an eventful night. I made a little drama by being a little romantic.Hehe. I surprised him with a candle light dinner. Not an expensive one. In fact, a very low cost one and sempoi. We just ate instant noodles and fruits because we decided to eat lighter meal for dinner.

One thing I did yesterday  prior to the candle light dinner which makes me proud. I went out from our house and walked about  10 meters to the nearest shop at the neighborhood to buy candles. I never walk out from the house compound alone. Note that I’m in a Siamese neighborhood where dogs will bark and bite me at any time. And plus the orang2 jahat. Huhu. But yeah, I did it. I brought 500 baths (equal to RM50) to buy 4 small candles. Wakaka..the Makcik at the shop must be pissed off. I didn’t have small change at that time.

Talk about buying candles, I actually drew the image of a candle on a piece of paper considering me, not-so–proficient to talk Thai. I said to the Makcik, ‘Put Thai medai’ (I cannot speak Thai) plus a very sweet smile. The Makcik smile and frown and replied in Thai language which I could not make sense at all. Is she mad? Is she laughing at me? I don’t know. But during the candle light dinner, she stopped by to say hello. Lucky she knows my hubby.  So here are some pictures during the making of this little drama =P

Have u seen a book with two titles? I mean with an ‘or’ in between titles? It’s like you can choose which title  you want. Usually,  I found books that have  titles and hints for example like this one… Langit Ilahi (Tuhan tidak lupakan Kita).

But last night,  only last night I  realized that a book that I bought on 4th Nov has two titles and a hint. hoho…It’s no big deal but seriously?

This is my first book with two titles. You know the content when you read the hint..basically a book that helps you to be a better person and obviously- happier. This book is written by Orison Swett Marden. He uses a very high standard of English. He made me look into dictionary frequently. huhu…but all in all, it’s a good book. Even the first chapter hits me. Here are a couple of excerpts taken from the book.  Malas nak type So snap je ngan sony erricson ku =P

Let’s get to the real domestic stuff. I made Sambal Belacan today. It’s a type of food Malaysians love to eat. Some people say, ‘you are not Malaysian enough if you don’t like Sambal Belacan’. It’s basically made from chillies mixed with shrimp paste. It’s quite a simple Malaysian dish to prepare. I got the recipe from this website http://kampungkitchen.blogspot.com

Bahan-bahan

5 – 6 biji cili merah (yang segar)
1 – 2 sudu makan serbuk belacan (belacan ni selalunya aku bakar dulu dan dijadikan serbuk)
garam
air asam jawa atau air limau nipis
gula (kalau suka)

Caranya

1) Basuh dan buang biji cili merah.
2) Kalau suka pedas, boleh campurkan cili padi.
3) Masukkan cili, belacan, garam ke dalam lesung penumbuk
4) Tumbuk sehingga cili lumat. Kalau suka halus tumbuk lama sedikit.
Tumbuk sehingga gula hancur.

According to the recipe, roast the shrimp paste. It is pretty damp

Basic ingredients: Tamarind juice and Chilliesss

This is how it looks when it’s finished.Careful when you pound the chillies, they’re juicy and may splatter into your eyes. See the floor..huhu.I looked away when I pound this.

The taste: Yummmyyy~

Agreed that Sambal Belacan is the yummiest food of all,

I snap his pictures swimming in bed=P

Here we are in the arms of one another
And we still go on searching for each other
Knowing that hate is wrong and love is
right for us tonight

When I look into your Spanish eyes
I know the reason why I am alive
And the world is so beautiful tonight

It’s a place I’ve never been
And it comes from deep within
And it’s telling me that I’m about to win first prize
Knowing all I have to do
Is reach out my hand to you
Anytime I want to look into your Spanish eyes

Let it be if we’re nothing more than dreamers
Who believe that we see no wall between us
How can they be in my heart and in my mind,
when all I could find

When I look into your Spanish eyes
I know the reason why I am alive
And the world is so beautiful tonight

I loved you from a distance
Thought I couldn’t reach that far
I can’t believe how close that we are
When I look into your Spanish eyes
And the world is so beautiful tonight

P/s: those eyes look scary to be spanish..=P

I always love colors. Any colors. But I have a soft spot for green. Whenever I want to pick house utensils, stationery, decorations… the green ones will capture my heart but I take other colors. I wonder why. Am I not brave enough to try green?Green will never make you go wrong..neither your house. That’s why Allah creates green grass and leaves. It’s very calming..cooling..

I’m thinking of making a few changes next year to our house by adding splashes of green. As my hubby said… too much of something is not good. Well yeah, he’s right. You don’t have to color the entire wall in your house with green. It’ll look weedy. Just add a small plant into your house. Add tiny green cushions. Green flower pots (i’m gonna try this) and many more ideas. Any shades of green will do. I collected a few pictures from Internet for inspirations.

Look! even Blake Lively and Kate Moss love green!

green is a new black,

He’s the best!
